Koi Buying Trips

 JAPAN KOI BUYING TRIPS

Suitable for hobbyist and dealer alike

Please find below the planned proposed itinerary and prices for all of our Japan Koi buying trips  (please note this is only proposed, and could probably change nearer the time, depending on the breeders and the temperatures in mud ponds etc.)

These trips are well suited to both Koi Dealer as well as hobbyists wishing to purchase serious koi at reasonable prices. The day to day agenda is to visit numerous Koi breeders and to re-visit as and when the ponds are harvested.

For these trips to be cost effective for yourself, you need to spend a minimum of £2000 on Koi (this would not include freight, handling or packing charges in Japan, and handling, MAFF, veterinary charges and VAT in England). If this amount exceeds your budget, then we would suggest that you should seek a Travel Agent specializing in Trips to Japan. This is because our trips are centered around serious Koi Keepers who wish to seek out that special Koi.

All Koi purchases must be paid for in Japan in cash, all other charges can be paid for on return to England. Special arrangements can be made (if required) for you to pay upon your return in the event of cash overspend.

Your trip-  We can arrange your flight for your nearest International Airport. you pay cost of flight.

We will also book your hotel, (discounted rates approx £60.00 per night.)

you pay Hotel bill upon departure.

There is no commission charge for the booking of your Flight or Hotel, our objective is to offer value for money. Not to make profits on the travel and accommodation package, as is the case with some others offering trips to Japan.

Dates can be tailored for your needs, e.g. different departure/arrival day, shorter, longer, etc.

Upon arrival at Narita airport, you will be met by one of our representatives (if not already on flight with you), where you will travel by Narita express to Tokyo (approx 1 hour).

You will then change train to Shinkansen (bullet) to Nagaoka (approx 2 1/2 hours) where transport will meet you, to take you to Nagaoka, and book in to the New Otani hotel, which will be the base for your stay.

After freshen up, we will meet in the lobby to take you out for your evening meal

On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, these will start with breakfast in the hotel, after which you will be picked up and escorted around the breeders, giving you the chance to see many different breeds and spectacular Koi.

Lunch will be something light, either sandwiches or noodles, and after we will continue around the breeders, until arriving back at the hotel, usually around 5pm.(local shops here are open until 7pm, which will allow a little shopping if required).

On these days, we meet in the lobby at 8pm, to go for dinner, at one of the local eating establishments, which cater for all types (with the exception of vegetarian). After dinner, your time is your own, you can either be escorted to one of the many Japanese style bars in the area or return to the hotel or just to wander at your leisure  (crime, as we know it is not known in these areas) the locals are very friendly.

On Friday afternoon, you now have a choice of staying in Nagaoka, to be ready by 4am the following morning, to catch the bullet train to start your journey home or :-

As an optional extra, on your last day you can travel to Tokyo and spend the evening in a Top class hotel and catch the limousine bus to the airport at 7am the following morning- (most clients go for the optional)

Or even make your own arrangements to get to Japan.
